Anti-Jewish appeal – “Dutch, don’t buy from Jews!” – ca. 1941
Very small original leaflet from the occupation period, probably early 1941 , distributed as part of the National Socialist anti-Jewish boycott campaigns. The note measures only approx. 3 × 7 cm and is printed on thin paper.
The text reads:
“Dutch people don't buy from Jews!”
Read The Foghorn
“Facial Avenue 1, Driebergen.”
"De Misthoorn" was a National Socialist newspaper that actively distributed antisemitic propaganda. Such small bills were used to incite citizens to economic boycotts and social exclusion of Dutch Jews. They are rare today because they were often discarded and only occasionally preserved.
Condition: The banknote is in good condition, especially considering its very small and fragile size. There are no tears or missing parts. The colors are good, and the text is completely sharp and legible.
